Beady Eye @ Bataclan, Paris Feb 27 2014

Beady Eye @ Bataclan, Paris Feb 27 2014
First time that we're seeing Liam Gallagher with his own band Beady Eye, Can't tell you that we were great OASIS fans, in fact we were NOT. Funnily enough we've seen Noel Gallagher's band High Flying Birds quite a few times and we liked what we saw and heard.

A lot a people warned us before the show, you don't like OASIS so you're gonna hate this... in fact NO.
That's enjoyable, Liam's not playing the douchebag like he used to in Oasis, songs are pretty good, maybe not as good as Noel's and the voice is fine

Even fans told us this concert was much better that the previous one in Paris.

Overall good show and ...

Bootsy Collins @ Trianon, Paris Feb 20 2014

Bootsy Collins @ Trianon, Paris Feb 20 2014
Let's get it FUNKY  with BOOTSY !!!
Hell Yeah !
Welcome to the spaceship with Bootsy Collins and his friends all dressed up as astronauts ready to invade the moon. More than 15 people on stage, First part with lots of groovy songs.
Bootsy is leaving the stage a couple of times during the gig to have a rest a let  first his sexy backing vocals girls treating us with a nice rendition of Deee-Lite's "Groove Is in the Heart" and then his Backing Vocals men for some more soulful songs.
There is also a nice tribute to Buddy Miles with « Them Changes ».
Bootsy is doing the show more than he plays bass but that's ok, he's even getting into the pit to the delight of his fans.
Strange ending inviting the audience on stage on stage for the last song "One Nation Under a Groove" no encore but a 120+ min concert that was GROOVY.

St Vincent @ Album de la Semaine Canal+, Paris Feb 19 2014

St Vincent @ Album de la Semaine Canal+, Paris Feb 19 2014
After playing @ Cigale yesterday night (video below) St Vincent will play songs from the new album à famous Canal+ TV show L'Album de la Semaine

Nice show from St Vincent , on each song there is a dance choreography or stage moves that are adding a theatrical parts to the concerts.
She's playing some nice guitars licks on a few tunes but it's a bit too electro for us, in fact I don't remember her being so electro, not really our stuff but enjoyable.
Didn't say a word for the whole set just a wave and a "Merci" at the end

History in the making once again as THE ROLLING STONES invited 27 lucky fans/bastards
to attend a real show at the rehearsals studio in Bondy
They picked up the first 27 fans that were waiting in front of the studio. Too bad that many ( around 20) couldn't get in.
There were also a few invited guests of the band.

Final & correct SETLIST for today's rehearsals in Paris
After the rehearsals the staff started packing stuff out from the studio into a truck
My reporters are telling me that it is getting even sillier than yesterday with many more people showing up in front of the studio just hoping that they will get in like we did last year.
Which obviously won't happen as there are far too many hangers on.
I've even been told that some guy turned up giving away flyers for a nearby pizzeria in case anyone wanted to order a pizza.
I Should have parked a food-truck in front of the studios I would have made a fortune out of it.
This is becoming a joke !

Bobby Keys today
Chances of a show on friday have dropped from 10% to 0,000001%
The band will be back for a European Tour in June/July, a show in Israel for June 10 is almost confirmed...

The report has just been sent to me from the rehearsals :
The band left the hotel very late with the side musicians last, which is a first...
nothing happened for more than an hour after they've arrived at the studio, some chinese journalists left the premises so anyone could guess they were doing interviews for the Asian Press.
Then the rehearsals started with a Blues jam that no one present there could identified.
Once again very nice version of "CYHMK" and "Sway".
Fans waiting outside were interviewed by the Stones' crew for a documentary
Today is one of the last rehearsals before the band flies to Arabia this week-end

Chances of a warm-up show in Paris: I give it  10% (and I'm optimistic)

Rolling Stones' Rehearsals in Paris Day 7 , Feb 11 2014

Franchement:
"Laisseriez-vous vos fenêtres épouser un Rolling Store(s)"
The band is leaving the hotel later and later each day, Keith is impossible to see in or out.
Bobby Keys is in Paris too, he was already there yesterday.
From my spies at the studio: there are more and more people each day, even a couple with a baby-buggy and the kid in it
Two very old women came down and asked where should they get their tickets to get in ?!? WHAT THE FUCK !!!
The Press is also trying to get footage of the Stones on their way in but the security is getting tighter and tighter and they could not get anything at all.
It's getting really silly !!!
Even someone working at the studio told the fans outside that there was no way that the Stones will let fans in like they did last year as there were too many people !!! Too bad as I wanted to get there myself tomorrow.
Great setlist with the addition of "Till the next Goodbye" from IORR, It's a first !

Hope you had a nice week end, Bernard Fowler and Lisa Fischer are now in Paris.
The band had the week-end to rest, Keith probably in London with his new born grand child Otto Reed (!? !) from daughter Angela
Ronnie Wood painting in his room (pic above)
Mick Taylor rehearsed with the band on friday while Keith was in London, looking forward hearing The Stones with 3 guitars on this monday.

Rolling Stones' Rehearsals in Paris Day 6 , Feb 10 2014

The band started the rehearsals very late today, the whole band was there including Keith Richards plus Mick Taylor , Bernard Fowler & Lisa Fisher.
The Stones satrted the rehearsals without Mick Jagger for the first two songs with Keith on vocals then Mick Jagger arrived.
Mick Taylor was at the rehearsals from the beginning but probably played on only a few songs.

Don't know why the fuck they're playing "Streets of Love", 3 times today ( are you kidding me ?), they've also played it friday

"Slipping Away" was played 3 times and "Moonlight Mile" twice
